Ringgold Names Two New Coaches

Ringgold High School Athletic Director Robert Akins said last week that despite the county-wide education hiring freeze he was able to hire two “good coaches” to the Tigers staff.

Middle School boys’ basketball coach Greg Elkins has been tabbed to take over the same position at Ringgold High School .

In Fort Oglethorpe, the No. 9-ranked Ridgeland Panthers made it two straight wins in Region 7-AAAA play with an important 8-3 win over No. 10-ranked LFO.
Ridgeland collected six hits and scored four runs in the top of the third.

Ringgold Middle School boys’ basketball coach Greg Elkins has been tabbed to take over the same position at Ringgold High School.

Ridgeland third baseman Stephen Ogle said he didn’t need any extra “motivation” when he stepped into the batter’s box on Saturday against rival Ringgold.
